Fair  Cool.

School.  Home by 12:30 P.M. Study E.E. afternoon and eve.  Turn in 10:30 P.M.

Tuesday, November 18

Fair -

School all day till 5:15 P.M. Then out to G's for supper and to Glee Club Concert.  Very good indeed.  Arrived home 12:10 P.M. (A.M.)  Little later than necessary.

Wednesday, November 19

Rainy -

School  E.E. lab till 5 P.M.  Home 6 P.M. Tired out.  Study Geodesy till 10:30 P.M.  Turn in then.  Not much new.

Up at 9 A.M. Study E.E. till 1 P.M.  Worked with wireless some. Ryan down. Bummed around couple of hours.  Up to G.N.M. for supper.  Out to G's till 11:30 P.M.  Home 12:30 A.M.

Hydraulics at City Station on Lake Union.  Down to Empress with Baer. Home abt 5 P.M.  G.N.M. called up about Index trip.  Study eve. Turn in 9:15 P.M.

Fair Rain eve

E.E. lab. Down town after coat.  Parade eve.  Pretty good time. Met G after it & went to Clemmer.  Clay back from Portland.  Home by 1:30 A.M.

Rain.

Thanksgiving.  

Up abt 10 A.M.  Out to G's then to Game with WSC Score 20-0 [The year book says 19-0].

Had Dinner with G. now. Some food let me tell you.  Left early.  Home by 8:30 P.M. Turned in then.

Up abt 9 A.M. worked around place a little sorted globes.  Slept good part of afternoon.  Out to G's eve.  Home 12:15 A.M.  Turn in 12:30 A.M.

Home all day.  Up at 10 A.M. Working with wireless.  Ryan down measured capacity of Aerial.  Not much doing. Cleaned room up some.  Turn in 10:45 P.M.

G. called up.  Study Geodesy. [Geodesy also named geodetics, a branch of applied mathematics and earth sciences, is the scientific discipline that deals with the measurement and representation of the Earth, including its gravitational field, in a three-dimensional time-varying space.]

Rainy all day.

Up about 9 P.M. Worked on Notes, loafed around.  Out to Forrest's and got Pillows.  Out to G's eve. Home 12:30 P.M. [A.M.]

Fine day.

Up late. Out to Florence Bell's with Amory.  Had dinner there. Then out to G's by 8:30 P.M.  Had good time, sawing wood, got my feet in it all right.  G almost got peeved?  Home 12:30 P.M.(A.M.)

Monday, November 3

Fair - Rain evening

School.  Drove for Bakers up to Hospital saw Helen Baker (This may be the Helen Baker who was born in Seattle in 1913). Florence along.  Home 6 P.M.  Study E.E.

Turn in 9:45 P.M.

Tuesday, November 4

Rain - all day.

E.A. Pedersen - .93 (A fellow student at the University of Washington in Engineering. The .93 may be a loan of 93¢ or his birth year 1893?)

School - Kicked out of Mechanics. (Cannot help wondering if it was "kicked out" meaning "class dismissed for the day" or "kicked out because of particular behavior." The former seems most likely.)  Home 5 P.M.  Study a little.  Out to A.I.E.E. Meeting [American Institute of Electrical Engineers] with Gooderham.  Paper by Loew on Electricity.  Edgar called up.  Home 10 P.M.

Rain all day.

School - E.E.3 lab.  Home eve study E.E. Kraft & Ryan by Fone & Wireless. (I think he is saying that he contacted both friends, Kraft and Ryan, by telephone and wireless.) Turn in 10:30 P.M.

Thursday, November 6

Fair - Cool

School half a day.

Home afternoon studying E.E.  Out to Wireless Club eve. at Petersens.  Home 12:45 P.M (A.M).

Friday, November 7

Fair

School E.E. lab.  our to G's and to Oral Club Dance.  Had good time. Home at 2:30 A.M.  Believe me, that is too late.  No more of that.  Should use a little sense if I have it.

Saturday, November 8

Fair  Rain eve.

Up by 11 A.M.  Amory over and we went to Georgetown and inspected the Brewery. (Seattle Brewing and Malting Company that brewed Rainier Beer.)  Rode back in Sammet's 30 horse Marmon.

To B'way - Lincoln game 20-6 agnst B'way.  Then down to Baker's for supper.  Drove machine some.  Home 11:15 P.M.  Turn in 12:30 P.M.

Study E.E. Morn. down town with Babe in car.  Out to Football game Whitworth [A private Christian College in Spokane, WA]  and 'U' 100-0.  Out to G's eve, over to Gaha's [??] & back.  Home 12:40 P.M. [means A.M.]

Study hydraulics.  Out to G's by 3:30 P.M.  Down to Melbourne.  Home by 12:30 P.M. [means A.M.]

Assembly.  No class in Hydraulics.  Home afternoon.  Worked up hydraulics notes.  Out to 'U' eve heard lecture.  Met bunch of fellows.  Home with J.W.G. by 10 P.M.  Turn in 11 P.M.

Hydraulics lab down at canal.  Home by 4 P.M.  Study eve.  Turn in 10 P.M.

School.  Home for lunch.  Back to school with motor, got it running worked on gas engine, nothing doing there.  Home 5:30 P.M.  Study E.E. Eve.  Turn in 10:00 P.M.

School - Had motor running in Lab. Out to G's eve to College play house.  Bunch there rooters, etc.  Turn in 12:30.

Saturday, October 25

Fine day O.A.E. 47-0

Up abt 9:30 A.M.

Took Mrs. Baker out in car.  Then got O & Galva. went to game. [This would have been against Oregon State which Huskies won 47-0.]  Then got George out for ride.  Then got Baker's down to Chocolate Soldier Oyster supper.  Home 1 A.M.

Up at 9 A.M. Out to school with Babe.  Took gas engine out.  Then to Football game.  Navy 24-6.  Then home then to Hyland Hall reception.  Home 10 P.M.  Fixed Motor up and assembled it.  Turn in 11:30 P.M.

Home all day monkeying with motor & fixing faucets.  Went down town in machine with mama & went to Colonial Theatre.  Walk home. got there @ 11: P.M.

Sunday School alone.  Called up Howard. Kanie [came?] home.  Up to G at 4: P.M. Galva there.  Down to Colonial,[The Colonial Theatre opened in 1913 at 4th and Pike and had an organ] then met Howard and Lulu.  Went to Melbourne [see January 17 entry for picture].  Home 10:30 P.M.

Out to School only one class. (Hyd.)  Home by 12 M  Not much doing. fixed switch and cleaned up room.  Up to 808 but nobody home.  Home eve. Turn in 9:30 P.M.

School - home 3 P.M.  Study E.E.  Down town in Baker's car with Babe and "EM."  Up to G and to movies.  Home by 10:30 P.M.  Turn in 11:15 P.M.  Got Kraft on Phone.

School.  Introduced Kraft to Bush & Gooderhan E.E. lab. Out to Lulu B's Party then to dance at Catholic Church.  Had good time with G.  Home 12:30 P.M. [A.M.?]

School Home by 12:30.  Worked on EE notes.  Up to G.N.M. all afternoon had supper there.  Home 8 P.M. Studying until 10:15 P.M.

School E.E. lab.  Home 6 P.M.  Studying on E.E. exp.  Out with Babe with machine.  Back again study more.  Turn in abt. 11 P.M.

Up 9 A.M. down town abt. telephone.  Study E.E. 3.  Out to Football game. Everett & U. of W. 26-0. [Everett High School. University of Washington won all of their football games in 1913.]  Up to G. eve.  down to Empress.  Home 12PM [AM?]
